New digital scrapbook pages. Turning my blog into a Book.

I have had a little set back when my computer died. Thank goodness my husband was able to retrieve all my pictures and blog book off my hard drive. I now have to do my blog book on my lap top and let me tell you!!!!! Looking at all that detail on a small screen is enough to make me go blind. So at this point it is a very slow process. I am so grateful for my father in law and his ability to fix computers. He offered to get my computer up and running again. Within the next few weeks we are going to head down south for a visit.

Here is a sneak peek of some pages I have completed. I can’t wait until it is all done so I can finally see it completed.

Ten new pages from my blog book.

Here are some more of my pages that I have created out of my 2009 blog. Blurb is a company that offers many different size books. It was so easy to download my blog into their Free Blurb book smart program so this book can be created. I have completed 200 pages and I have approximately sixty more pages to go.

A blog book sneek peek!

I am in the process of turning my 2009 blog into a 12 x12 book. Once completed there will be approximately 270 pages. So far, I have 143 pages completed.  The software is very easy to use and it took me less than a week to complete that many pages.  The company I am going through is called blurb. I am very impressed on what I could do with my pages. I can upload all digital backgrounds to my pages. I can upload and add embellishments to my pages. I can change font, font size and color. There is a selection of picture boards to choose from. Dozens of picture layouts or custom make you own layouts. Here is a sneak peek at what I have been up too.

Over the next week I will be working on turning my 2009 blog into a 12x12 book through a company called blurb .  So far, I completed 64 pages and I have approximately 150 more to go. This will be the test to see how good it comes out because I want to turn my Family Heritage Cook Book into a book. I chose blurb because they were the only company that offered the 12 x 12 size and allowing me to incorporate my own personal touches.

blurb has a free software program called blurb BookSmart that I down loaded onto my hard drive so I could work on my book. It has a tool that allows me to import my blog into the software. So fare I am impressed with what I could do with the pages. I am a scrapbooked and for me it is all about decorating the pages. blurb allows me to down load digital embellishments on to my pages as well as choosing my own personal digital paper for the backgrounds. They provide many different types of embellishments with their program. They have 85 backgrounds to choose from. They provide eight different picture boarders. In addition, they have about 75 different ornaments to choose from.  I should have the book completed and printed by mid next month.  I will let you know how it looks then.

Room Transformation

For the BIG reveal!!!!!! The Scrapbooking/craft/guest room is complete. Since the room is a multipurpose room I needed it to be very organized and spacious. For the guest bedroom portion we decided to get a Murphy bed and since I needed it to store all my crafts I ordered one with shelving, lots of shelving. We got the Murphy bed in on Friday and it took them six hours to put it in.

The shelving folds back so the bed could be pulled down.

I love the fact you can fold the bed up with all the bedding still on the bed and it stays intact.  It has a belt that straps the bedding down so it won't move when the bed is folded up.  I also screwed a picture to the wall so it won't move when the bed is closed.
The Cisco Kid's work table is folded down to allow for walking space.
We built a counter top inside the closet and the Chief put some electric in there for all my electronics. I put up a florescent light because it was a very dark area. I also put the peg board above the counter so I could have everything at arms reach. All my scrapbooking and craft supplies are readily available without me searching throughout the house for them.
When I designed this room I made sure I was able to store everything away easily and conveniently so when the bed was down nothing was in the way.
I needed a table to work on and I had a drop leaf table that fits perfectly under the counter for easy storage. Now I don't have to worry about putting away a scrapbook in progress if we should get sleep over guests. I just simply push the table under the counter and it will be just fine until I am ready to get back to it.
This corner is all my paints, gift wrapping supplies, sewing machine and fabrics.

I love this is an electric fireplace/heater. This room seems to be the coldest room in the house. I was in Lowes and saw these Fire places and thought it was a perfect solution to warm up the room. What I love most about it is you can run the fire without the heater. This gives my space a real cozy and comfortable feel all year long.
The shelves are from Target and they are called Shabby Bookshelves. They are great for storing more of my Scrapbooking supplies.    Because the Chief knows how much I love TV, he got me one to complet my space.
Here are some before and after photos.
